The role

As the strategic partnership between Russia and China reaches unprecedented heights, more and more Chinese businesses are entering the Russian market, while the existing players are expanding their footprint. At the same time, Russian companies are increasingly partnering with Chinese providers and manufacturers, exploring the Chinese market.

To meet the increasing demand and provide better support to our customers, we have set up our Chinese desk, catering specifically to the needs of Russian-Chinese business relations.

We envisage our Chinese desk as a single point of contact for our customers involved in Russian-Chinese trade and cooperation, where they can have their questions answered and concerns addressed. Importantly, we will be helping bridge the language, cultural, legal and other differences to ensure seamless business operations.

Core duties

• Dealing with the typical issues and tasks faced by the Chinese companies doing business in Russia and Russian businesses entering or operating in China, from setting up business to tax and regulatory compliance, accounting and reporting, internal control and financial audit
• Communicating with customers with empathy and professionalism
• Solving customer complaints in a timely manner
• Engaging other teams to address customer concerns
• Providing information on the firm’s entire product and service offering

Key requirements

• Native Chinese speaker
• Effective communication skills
• A network in the Chinese community
• A degree in Finance or Marketing (final year students considered)
• Experience of working in a Chinese company (as an advantage)
