We strongly believe that learning English in a camp environment should be done through fun activities focused on developing various non-language skills like critical thinking, problem solving, creative thinking, while connecting the language knowledge to non-language contexts by learning about the world IN English. Our programs are focused on the campers’ intellectual and emotional development through their interests, and teachers sharing their own passions with their students. Therefore the additional requirement for a teaching position is to possess expertise in a field not related to language teaching (i.e. science, art, drama, urban design, journalism, etc.). We’re looking for someone who will be not just an ESL teacher, but a mentor, sincerely interested in getting to know their students. Responsibilities: Teaching a series of workshops (depending on your field of expertise) 4 academic hours (45mins) per day Taking part in developing the workshop curriculum Leading a language club (1h per day) - board games, sport games, debates, role plays etc Participating in extracurricular activities and camp events Being an active part of the camp society Working Conditions: overnight camp, 5-7-day sessions (staying at the campsite overnight is optional) meals and accommodation provided payment method: self-employed or temporary contract Please supply your application with an application letter, we would love to hear why our offer has caught your attention and what workshop you are applying to teach.
