Key Responsibilities: Manage the Bank's legal counsels, both at the Head Office and in the branches, to ensure their seamless legal support, including developing and improving processes and policies to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of their areas of practice. Be a recognized subject matter expert with primary accountability for the end results. Serve as a key strategic partner to senior management, Group level management, and a primary advisor to senior business stakeholders. Provide legal advice on the Bank's day-to-day legal agenda, internal reorganizations and the legal implications of new and existing products and transactions. Collaborate with other functions by acting as a trusted legal advisor on strategic legal and regulatory issues. Represent the Bank to clients, government agencies or other organizations. Qualifications and Skills: At least 10 years of professional experience, of which 3-5 years of experience as head of legal department is required. (Experience in the financial services industry is preferred.) Experience in change management is preferred. Excellent leadership, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills. Excellent written, verbal, presentation, problem-solving, and analytical skills coupled with a strategic mindset and a keen eye for detail. Effective negotiation skills and ability to maintain effective relationships at executive levels. Highly motivated, results-oriented individual with a passion for delivering excellence in all endeavors. Fluency in written and verbal English is essential. Ability to take leadership and execute your vision and agenda. Ability to operate under pressure and deliver results in multiple parallel projects.
