What you will do The Legal, Ethics & Compliance Director will support our business in Russia and will play a pivotal role in ensuring Consumer Health business operates in full compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. In this strategic leadership role, the Legal, Ethics & Compliance Director will be responsible for ensuring timely and clear guidance to business partners while safeguarding the company's interests, rights, and reputation. The LE&C Director will oversee legal and compliance functions activities, projects and daily operations in collaboration with senior leadership from RAMET cluster and EMEA region. The Director will lead a team of legal and compliance professionals and collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing and other functions to support company business goals. Key Responsibilities: Partner closely with business clients, colleagues in the Legal, Ethics & Compliance and external counsel, as appropriate. As member of Leadership Team serve as a trusted advisor, providing strategic insights and recommendations on legal and compliance matters, including Data Privacy, impacting the business strategy development and business operation. Proactive deep dive in all major business operations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate compliance considerations into business operations, product development, and commercial activities. Implement, and maintain legal and compliance programs and policies to ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards. Develop and deliver comprehensive legal and compliance training programs for business partners on legal and compliance matters, which may include policies, procedures, and training materials. Drive high ethical, legal and compliance standards across the organization. Reveal and evaluate legal and compliance risks, provide mitigating solutions. Anticipate and address critical legal, compliance, business and ethical issues. Control on legal requirements in relation to existing international restrictions (sanctions legislation). Lead and mentor a high-performing team of legal and compliance professionals. Draft and negotiate contracts to support the business operations. Ensure contract management process in the organization. Interact with state bodies, representing company’s interests. Monitor changes in relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends, and proactively recommend adjustments to company policies and practices. Manage relationships with external legal counsel, regulatory agencies, and industry organizations to stay informed of best practices and emerging issues. Coordinate budgets for external services with the business. Drive and coordinate litigation (e.g. product liability, commercial litigation) external legal counsel. Coordinate government/criminal inquiries and investigations with local and corporate stakeholders. What we are looking for Requirements: 10+ years of relevant experience in legal and compliance roles preferably within the pharma or consumer health industry, combining solid academic background and practical experience in business laws and compliance legislation and matters. Deep understanding of regulatory frameworks governing pharmaceutical industry, knowledge of healthcare compliance standards, privacy legislation, corruption legislation. Proven track record of implementing compliance initiatives, driving process improvements, and mitigating risk in a dynamic environment. Solid understanding of the business environment and the ability to provide high-quality legal advice with a view on finding pragmatic solutions for the business. Solid experience in drafting and negotiating complex agreements. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with a willingness to proactively engage with business, to collaborate, share knowledge, find practical solutions, respond quickly to urgent matters and execute proactively to compliant growth of the business. Unquestionable ethical and compliant approach. Ability to forecast legal issues and risks. Exceptional communication, negotiation skills with the ability to influence and engage effectively and maintain strong relationships. Problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively with individuals who have varying levels of legal knowledge, making it essential to adapt their communication style accordingly. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Interest in disruptive technologies, such as Artificial Intelligence, cybersecurity and privacy-related matters. Fluency in English.
