Job description: The IT Tools Engineer is responsible for configuring and managing IT tools that support the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), such as JIRA, Confluence, TestRail and Azure DevOps. This role also involves developing and maintaining dashboards in Business Intelligence (BI) tools based on data from these IT tools. As a member of IT Governance team the IT Tools Engineer will work closely with development teams and other stakeholders to ensure effective tool configuration and provide actionable insights through data visualization. Responsibilities: Tool Configuration and Management Configure and maintain SDLC tools, including JIRA, Confluence, TestRail, Azure DevOps, monitoring tools and other relevant systems to support development processes. Customize tool settings, workflows, dashboards and permissions to meet requirements and optimize team performance. Manage tool integrations with other systems and ensure data synchronization across platforms. Dashboard Development and BI Integration Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) based on data from IT tools. Create visualizations that provide actionable insights and facilitate decision-making for development teams and management. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data needs and deliver relevant and accurate BI reports. SDLC Process Support Ensure SDLC tools effectively support all stages of the development lifecycle, including planning, development, testing, deployment and monitoring. Provide technical support to users, troubleshoot issues and resolve configuration problems. Work with development teams to tailor tools to their workflows and enhance productivity. User Support and Training Offer technical support and guidance to end-users of SDLC and BI tools. Develop and deliver user instructions and training sessions to ensure users are proficient in using tools and dashboards. Address user feedback and implement improvements based on user needs. Integration Management Oversee integrations between SDLC tools and other software systems, ensuring smooth data flow and process coordination. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to tool integrations. Documentation and Reporting Maintain accurate documentation for tool configurations, processes, and dashboard setups. Prepare and deliver reports on tool usage, performance and data insights to stakeholders. Compliance and Security Ensure that all configurations and data handling comply with organizational policies and security standards. Implement access controls and data protection measures as needed. Requirements: Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications are a plus. 2+ years of experience in configuring and managing IT tools for SDLC processes and BI dashboard development. Hands-on experience with JIRA, Confluence, TestRail, Azure DevOps, and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau). Skills and Competencies Strong understanding of SDLC processes and methodologies. Proficiency in configuring and managing JIRA, Confluence, TestRail, Azure DevOps, and other relevant IT tools. Experience with BI tools and developing dashboards and reports. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
