DSR Corporation is an international team of professionals genuinely passionate about software development. We are currently looking for a Support Engineer to join our team. You will be part of a development group working on our product for massive media migration from legacy archive storage systems to a NAS or to a cloud. Companies that use the product are globally known broadcasters and TV-channels, with enormous amounts of media stored in their archives. The product is designed to run for weeks and month, and even years (because migrations are huge). Support Engineer will help deploying new migrations, periodically check health status of running migrations, and process support requests from customers (in case they notice issues with migration process or with migrated media assets). Responsibilities: Provide support and assistance. Compose emails, follow-ups. Participate in meetings with customers; Document support problems, resolutions, important decisions and updates. Keep documentation and FAQs consistent and up to date; Collaborate with development team for issues resolution. Provide detailed description of problems; Deploy/launch the product on customers' sites and install needed libraries for maintenance and support; Regularly monitor the status of the product on customers' sites. Required Skills: 2+ years of professional, relevant experience; Spoken English -- intermediate level or higher. Able to communicate in voice/chat with customer teams; Comfortable with Linux CLI (in particular: less, grep, awk, sed, jq, and console-based text editors like vim); Basic SQL knowledge, ability to write queries with joins in PostgreSQL; Documentation skills (all the customers-related context should be documented properly and well-structured). Will be a Plus: Bachelor degree or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field; Experience with Docker, Docker Compose; User experience with S3 storage (basic understanding); Basic programming skills.
